1. This cartoon brilliantly illustrates the shadow of the conscious mind (looking directly at what we see), and the looming unconscious shadow of the unconscious individual mind in the background. The suggestion is the possibility of the whole which would expand into the universal unconscious realm of mankind. The shadow is like a blackboard in a metaphysical school upon which we write our destiny according to the law of free will. Pause is all. Pause separates the shadow from the light and like a supernatural Venetian blind adjusts to the truth of our being.
