Jung, on the Antichrist
For anyone who has a positive attitude towards Christianity the problem of the Antichrist is a hard nut to crack:
It is nothing less than the counterstroke of the devil, provoked by God’s Incarnation; for the devil attains his true stature as the adversary of Christ, and hence of God, only after the rise of Christianity, while as late as the Book of Job he was still one of God’s sons and on familiar terms with Yahweh.
I had not known Jung had written about this. For years, I have pondered the idea that Christ and Satan are two sides of the same coin. Glad to know I’m on the same track here. Sadly, Satan (accuser in Hebrew) has been demonized by Jude-Christianity rather than integrating the two leaving a religious legacy of of trauma and dysfunction. No wonder that Trump would like to make his MAGA hats the mark of him as the Beast.
Note: I have always found it interesting that the number of Satan is 666 for two reasons: 1) 666 used to be (I don’t know if it still is) on the mitre of the Pope. 2) the number six is the number of the Sacred Feminine with the three sixes representing maid, mother, and crone. So, for this number to be used to signify evil is just another of the myriad symbols in both Testaments used to demonize the Goddess and women in general.
Hadn’t realized that 666 demonized the feminine. Makes sense, unfortunately. I haven’s seen any MAGA 666 hats, but maybe it will come after the bowling shoes and the Bible. I also saw a version of the Bible signed by Jesus on Ebay. Was $20,000. A bargain.
If 666 is stacked we have a spiral – this spiral is an ancient symbol of Celtic origin and relates to Hermetic Egyptian tradition of afterlife – so it really is a symbol not a number at all.
Sadly, the winner/loser trope has been with us since Adam and Eve were driven from paradise and marked with original sin. Binary intellect is capitulating to the shadow and defeating the light that is necessary to grow spiritual evolution. We must strive politically to drain emotion from the debate and retain to sober balanced government even if the POV seems heavy handed.
Binary identity politics is leading the planet of the people (nature) to an unnecessary state of political meltdown. Goddesses and Gods can work together to bring calm to an emotion wracked adolescent world of wandering misinformed/uninformed legions of longing. 666 is a symbol not of numerical origin, but; a spiral in the one dimension. When staked upon itself the spiral is imagined and spiritual ascendance is depicted. Just ask Hermes Trismegistus aka Thoth.
